Yo!

Ive always been atleast a bit intereseted in art but personally didnt really start trying to really improve till about a year ago, shame it took me so long. My mom went to an art school back in Sibiu, although I dont know the school name since I heard it was taken over by the catholic church for some stupid reason because they used to own the building hundreds of years ago. And so shes always been a bit of an inspiration to start exploring art.

Growing up I was always too embarrassed to ask for help since I was pretty bad. Which looking back isnt the whole point of learning because you arent too skilled at something (in short kids are dumb). So I ended up just drawing alot of stuff based off drawings id see online instead, which did atleast let me explore to develop my own look. Although because of looking online for inspiration and such, you end up seeing alot of *weirder* stuff. Ive said it before and ill say it again, please dont give your kid unsupervised access to the internet. Side tangent over, ive always really liked Eastern European expressionism art, with how strange they can be, and the general non comformity to the art of the time. They were out of a desire to express thyself in a time where such a thing wasnt allowed. I love the general surreal feeling of them and the off feeling you get, its very different to any other kind of art.

It and surrealism overlap alot which I also take alot of interest in. The nostalgic but very off feel again makes an interesting feel. Often the too are confused for the other, and for a while I did the same. Expressionism focuses on the person inner world instead of external realities.
